Personalized Photo Album and Candles

This was a custom request for a person passionate about animals, but especially those from the ocean.

Once again I must apologize for Blogspot.  It continues to rotate my pictures for no good reason.  This album was a small photo album with a hard cover.  The colors were light turquoise and chocolate brown, so we decided to go with a turquoise vinyl.  This is the cover, we added "Kristin" and the turquoise flourish.

Here are the inside covers and the back cover of the album.  We added the animals and flourishes:

I was also asked to embellish two candles.  I found two candles that reminded me of the ocean and added some dolphins and a sea turtle:

Vinyl is an inexpensive way to personalize your home decor or gift.  Custom work generally costs $0.08 a square inch, possibly more if you request a more complex design.  I would be happy to give you a no obligation price quote for any projects you have in mind.

Nativity Silhouettes

This year I prepared several nativity silhouettes for a crafting party.  I designed them to fit on either a six inch square tile or a 7 inch square floating frame.

Design 1:  Halos
(Please be aware that the people have single halos.  The double halo is an effect of a shadow from the camera flash)

Design 2:  Swirls

Design 3:  Family Embrace

Design 4:  Primitive

One Cry, One Birth, One Life Tile

One cry awakened the world, One birth changed history, One life made all the difference!

I fell in love with this thought from the moment I heard it.  This quote was a request from a friend and I love how it came out.  This tile could be reserved as a special addition to your holiday decor during Christmas or Easter, or you could display it year-round to testify of Christ.

The above sample is chocolate brown vinyl on a sandstone tile.

Welcome Santa

Yep, still love that Christmasy font!  I was doing a bit of personal holiday shopping and came across an amazing red sequined frame that I fell hopelessly in love with!  I decided to make a message for a future guest in our home.  :)

A project like this is very simple.  All you need is a frame and piece of colorful scrapbook paper.  The vinyl is applied to the paper under the glass.  This has two benefits- you can clean the frame easily without damaging the vinyl design, and you can replace the framed design with different photographs or designs later in the year.  I have a feeling this cute sparkly frame will make an appearance during the Valentine season...

Merry Christmas!

Would you like to make your vehicle or front door look more festive this holiday season?  I discovered this wonderful Christmasy font that I just love!

The decal in this picture has 3 inch lettering and is approximately 21 inches long.  It is cut from bright red vinyl.   I can of course customize the size and wording if you would like something different, just contact me.  :)

Vinyled Pumpkins

Today I offered to supply some vinyl to decorate pumpkins at a preschool playgroup party.  I mostly cut jack-o-lantern faces, but I also supplied bats, spiders, polka dots, and cars.  I loved seeing all of their creations, and I even saw one of the vinyled pumpkins made it in to a Halloween photo shoot.  I'm talkin' with a professional photographer!  I was quite excited.

I took pictures of my two favorite pumpkins from the party, a traditional jack-o-lantern and a police car.

Halloween Custom Work

Here are more samples of customized costumes and trick-or-treat buckets.  First, a bucket for a police officer:

Next, a faux flight pin made out of gold vinyl and a bucket for a bomber pilot:

And finally, some work for an Air Force pilot.  First I added some lightening bolts to a toy motorcycle helmet.  And then I made a jet for the bucket.  The jet was definitely a challenge and I am quite happy how it turned out.

Happy Birthday

This is how we "toadilly" celebrate birthdays in our house.  Mom always seems to slap something up on the wall.  :)  This year we had a dinosaur themed party for my little guy.

The beauty of vinyl is that it easily comes off your walls and you will have no damage to your paint.  I was even able to repurpose the vinyl and make a second birthday sign for a special uncle.

Halloween Pacifier

Isn't this a super cute idea?  You can update your boring binky through the year to match special holidays.  Or, you could choose a monogram or picture that suits your personality.  I just wish I knew that baby was going to be a frog, I would have suggested a little bug.  Wouldn't that have been cute?

Thomas Bucket for Halloween

This was a custom request for a cute 3 year old train engineer.  I have to admit I am proud of this one, it involved six layers of color piecing!

Halloween Fun

Vinyl can be loads of fun around Halloween!  I've already shown you customized costumes, cars, and buckets.  Here are a few more ideas:

A mess free way to decorate pumpkins!

Decorate your candles, and after Halloween is over they return to normal without any damage:  (sorry, don't know why blogspot is rotating my picture)

Decorate your mirrors, or other regular features in your house.  This is a decorated magnet board, usually plain green:

Space Decals for Halloween

A special little astronaut needed to get decked out for Halloween.  I was asked to personalize a plastic helmet and bucket for trick-or-treating.  Right now Michaels has $1 buckets in various Halloween colors in stock.  They are perfect for gathering sweets!

Here is the helmet.  I made a rocket for the top, and wrote "Commander " in a futuristic font.

And are a few shots of the bucket.  I think it came out so cute!  I created an Earth, Saturn, spinning galaxy, alien ship, and a few scattered stars.  The colors popped nicely on the black bucket.

Wood Blocks

Earlier this year we had a fun Relief Society meeting, we made fun "E-a-s-t-e-r" blocks to decorate our homes.

Most people decorated the back of their blocks with "S-p-r-i-n-g", but of course I had to vinyl it up my own way.  I decided to take my blocks home and make a decoration I could enjoy year round.  A few pieces of blue, green, and brown paper later and this is what I created:

I love how it turned out, and now I wish it hadn't taken me six months to get around to it!  :)

Killer Whale Card

I don't make cards often, but I love how this one came out!  I know I will use the killer whale design for future scrapbook pages.  This project is entirely paper, but I can cut the killer whales with black and white vinyl if you would like a decal for a room or car.

Pirate Birthday

I am not an artist.  I am creative and love to craft, but I don't draw anything.  But a very special boy wanted a pirate birthday party and I am such a sucker for him I knew I was going to have a treasure map leading to buried treasure.  This has nothing to do with vinyl, but I "toadilly" made it and I am quite proud!  Watching the boys hunt down the treasure and dig it out of the sandbox was definitely worth the very late nights making this map!

Happy Father's Day!

Our special dad found a message under his breakfast in bed, and on his car window.  :)

Families Are Forever

My current work in progress.  :)

This wood board (not mdf) is painted black, and the lettering is a light beige. I am planning on distressing the edges for character and applying hardware to hang the sign on the wall.

Nursery Names

The name "Atticus" is cut using the font "Blackcherry Moon" with Traffic Blue vinyl.  The name "Abigail" is cut using the font "mtf whimsy" with Cyclamen Pink vinyl.

Sports Frame

This is a gift I made my Cougar fan for his birthday.  All lettering and pictures are under glass for easy cleaning.
